Live free or Die Hard is the name of a new Bruce Willis movie. I haven't seen it, but I've seen the rest of the series of the "Die hard" series. In my opinion everyone is getting tired of that character in the Die hard Movies, How many times can you be a hero?
Most people have seen the first and best movie of the trilogy, "Die hard". Most people like to imagine themselves as in "McClain", Bruce Willis's character,a lone hero fighting to save the inhabitants of Nakitomi Plaza from a group of terrorist.
This stuff look good on screen, but in real life..How many people are willing to stand up for what they think is right, or even for their own Civil Rights! The Answer ...very Few, including myself.
Its my opinion that when a persons Civil Rights (like in America)have been stepped on enough, or their personal freedom and safety has been compromised, then we are all likely to become like this 'McClain' character in this Die Hard series
Yippee Kyaayyy Mother-Fucker! This is what has happened to me. But instead of Nakitomi plaza, the place that been Hijacked is the Area in which I live in, or in a broader sense...the entire United States. Perhaps the entire U.S has been hijacked by the current political administration alias "Al Queda". There intent is to destroy our civil rights, bankrupting/fleecing the nation in the guise of fighting terrorism (They may be creating more terrorist.) and giving the profits to there friends.
So maybe ultimately maybe it is the Bush administration I'm am fighting here. But in the town where I live, I find it hard not to be angry or feel insulted. Its hard to stand up for my own rights, the right to go where I please unmolested, the right to work for a days pay, the right to congregate with people I want to be with, the right to be treated with dignity and respect. this hs become a land though my ancestors toiled across the land here and here brought here in chains. then to fight and regain there freedom..a century later we are in dire straits..treated like 4th class citizens.
This movie came up for me at a time when I was pondering these questions, Though I haven't seen the movie. The question is very obviously to me. Live Free Or Die Hard. It just depends on what you mean by "live free", does that mean that for Americans living here in order to preserve the "status Quo", to continue to enjoy the fruits of capitalism, , we must fight wars overseas in Iraq, Iran, cause they represent a
terrorist threat to our nation?
Or does to "live free" mean to fight for our way of life, our individual freedoms, to be able to go to work for a days pay, to associate with people you want to associate with, not to have to pay too much to live? That's what it means to me, and this is the injustice I have to fight, though I am small, weak and not well armed.
Is anybody applauding for me..or are they rooting for the bad guys to get me in the end?
In my opinion though alot of Americans are too well ensconced in this system to really notice or to pay attention to the injustices and suffering within it, either that or they are aware of the problem ,but don't do anything...thereby guaranteeing the problems will continue, and possibly a day when your freedoms will be no more.
