An Interesting note that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, sort of went broke today. The Government is taking it over and the taypayers are going to fit the bill for all of the bad loans that went out. My understanding of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae isn't good, but I know it use to be a way for people to obtain loans for homes in the U.S. Analyst are talking about it saying, well maybe there was lack of oversight in that area ,that allowed the defaulting of these two organizations and the Home Mortgage Crisis. Much like alot of the other types the scandals that have racked this country.
Who's doing the paperwork, watching the number's, making sure they make sense? Could it be our legislators who are supposed to be doing this? But how can they if the same organization there supposed to be watching, is giving them large amounts of money for campaign contributions. Here is a list of legislators who received the most money from Fannie Mae, and Freddie mac.
