Never forgetting man's inhumanity to man

It occured to me that are we Americans getting sold a bill of goods on the current conflict in Gaza? I've been listening to talk radio about Israel on Gaza. They are more pro -Israel because they say that Israel is responding to Hamas (a terrorist Oragnaization). Hamas has been firing missiles into Israel before the Israeli attack. Suppose the opposite is true? That It's Israelis that s a bad broker here ... a couple of facts.

Hamas was democratically elected by the Palestinian people , at least twice and in the last election.
Israel and the U.S consider Hamas a terrorist organization. Yet Palestenians voted for Hamas.
The U.S and Israel shunned the former representative of the Palestinianians "Yasser Arifat", and made a big deal about getting rid of Arifat and the PLO. Israel attacked political representives of Palestininan polictical power, they called them terrorist got rid of the PLO, and Arifat mysteriously died. Now they have democratically elected Hamas ( backed by Iran) to contend with. So in a way Israel and the U.S are responsible for Hamas being in power.

At present isn't there is a media blackout in Gaza? The Israeli's aren't allowing any media in to let the world see what is going on in Gaza. This isn't the only time Israel has done this... Why won't the Israelis want us to see what is going on in Gaza? Why do they have to hide it?

Wasn't it Jewish Holocuast survivor, Nobel prize winner ,"Elie Weisel" who coined the phrase, on the Holocaust . " That we should never forget man's inhumanity, to man". Should the world forget about the Palestianians?

Perhaps if real Jews were running Israel, this bloodshed wouldn't be going on in Gaza...that my naive conclusion. Perhaps we Americans are just getting a CIA disinformation job in the press here, cause if Jews aren't running Israel, who is? Perhaps the Arabs know , that why there calling for the destruction of Israel?
