How come??

I guess I owe alot of my current success to White people , I work for a company run and founded by white people, they sign my paycheck. I had, have friends and friendly acquaintances who were white. I would not have gotten here without the help of a few nice white people, who helped me out, job wise. I live in government subsidized housing..I guess I owe that to the generosity of a few white people, although I pay taxes also. There's also all this nice technology, and this terrific forum "goggle" has provided ( Blogger)... Thanks guys!! 9-11 changed the way I think about white people, also my difficulties here at this Hotel has changes the way I look at things a little.

Pre 9-11 in America was an okay place to live for white folks, not so for alot of African-Americans in this country and many others. Pre 9-11 there was the specter of HIV/AIDS that claimed many lives, homelessness, beggary and injustice. I think alot of Black -Americans were being uprooted from their jobs and communities, by an invasion of immigrants , legal and illegal who didn't not know how to treat the Black person ,who communities they now lived in and who's jobs they have taken.
A couple of years ago in California, Blacks made up a close majority of the population of the City of Oakland, California 47%! Thanks to recent immigration I think were no longer the majority population.

Injustice in the legal system was "business as usual" in America pre 9-11. The two incidents I think of are the Amadou Diallo case in New York, were this colored immigrant , was raped in a bathroom by police, in a police station. Then there was the case of that colored person in New York who was Shot 47 times by seven police officers, who when ask to put his hands up, thought he was going for a gun and shot and killed him. He committed no crime. This all happened in New York, that bastion of democracy. Its no wonder that foreign terrorist decided to use New York has a staging place for the wrecking of the World Trade buildings and the huge loss of life....Maybe theres something fundamentally wrong with the way America treats people of color around the world. White America led by George Bush said, "It's time to kick some al Qaida butt". Some of the people in the Middle east are dirt poor, but very pious.

In my present difficulties, with the Hotel I'm staying in, I don't really blame White folks for that, even though the main antagonist is white. I came to the conclusion that there are always bad people out there to take advantage of you,its just the people who PUT the bad on top of you who are the real perpetrators. In my case the perpetrators are Black.

Its the type of people that know that something wrong is going on and DO NOTHING that piss me off, or even worse the people who know something bad is going on but who suggest you give in.

Even though I'm gainfully employed these days, my happiness is spoiled, by the comments and reactions of people at the places where I work in a few stores, and markets in the Bay Area. People actually go up to the clerks where I work saying stuff, like..."can you shoot that?", "can you molest that?", "He has to whore".

I don't do much to harrass people when I go into these stores, And I am not a employee of these stores, but when people do this it affects the morale of the people working there and my morale. I don't think I go into the stores with a physical odor, I'm not the most best dressed person, But I try to wear clean clothes and I work... I go into the store that black people shop and they do the same thing! There really obnoxious about it and its really demoralizing. Its demoralizing to me cause I kind of starting this work , in mind to help my own people. There the one's that hurt me the most.

Imagine being transported back in time..back to the early 60's in the U.S, during the Black Civil rights movement. Dr. Martin Luther King used "civil disobedience" to protest the inequities of justices directed at African-Americans. He managed to get support from his brethren at that time cause all black were universally affected by the injustices going at that time.

There had to be NAYSAYERS going on at that time. I mean the people who would say to Dr. King, "You can't do this , they'll shoot." Black people who would try to personally demean Dr. King. In other words how would the Black Civil rights movement in the 50's and 60's got started if the blacks involved were afraid of being shoot , beaten and arrested. It wouldn't have gotten anywhere in my opinion.

Yet today, when there is a real need for this type of reform in America, no one says anything, no one black will stand up for anything. And if I stand up , for myself, and maybe for someone else. I'm told that I'm a whore, a punk who needs to be raped or shot. By my own people at a time when most black people wont even stand up for there own children. They content themselves to sit on street corners and beg for money, or they sell poison to there brothers, sisters and relatives. They rape each other. What would blackleaders of the past think? What would the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman's, Shirley Chisolms think?

So it kinda hurts when I go into the marketplace trying to stand up for myself and my race, when I'm just being told that I am worthless..by black people, spending there money in stores owned by other races. They'll say to the stork clerk, when I'm working there, "He's a ho", "Can you shoot him?" , "We need to punk him". Meanwhile there spending all there money at this newly Asian owned "Quik mart". Indeed there spending there money at numerous Asian owned stores, whether they be Quick marts, of fast food stores. Making these Asians wealthy in a once was a Black community. But little of the wealth is going black into the Black community unless you consider the drug trade. And Blacks are not the only ones with this type of problem. Whites are a major offender.

My personal situation is poor. I'm 42 years old, single never been married, I'm employed but don't make much money. I'm mostly heterosexual I'm been on the planet for 42 years most of that dedicated to finding a girlfriend of the opposite sex. I'm employed mostly through the efforts and struggle I've made over the years, finally landed a decent job only paying 15.00 and hour, Even through my father a well employed man always puts me down cause I'm not doing what he's doing...a longshoremen making $30.00+ an hour, I was raised mostly by my mother though.
The point is that no one much helped me to get where I am now.

When I protested my situation outside of the Hotel, I kinda implicated white people cause, it was the type of stuff that lies under all the smiling faces and good humor. Rape and murder. They're going it in Iraq in the name of spreading democracy and fighting terrorism. They sponsor rape and torture in the prisons in America.
