Kenana Sugar factory;1983, Sudan.

I believe this is part of the Kenana Sugar factory.

Near the Sugar plant, now here I find traces of the Africa we are all familiar with . This guy might be planting peanuts ( "groundnuts" they called them). This person being more of non-arabian descent.

This is more of the Africa I came to me at the Kenana Sugar plant. These sisters were working hard and didn't have any time for me.

Whoops, this is me back home from the trip. in 83. I am wearing part of the garb they were in Khartoum, Sudan. It was an adventure, my first travel outside the United States. The temparture in the U.S was radically cooler than in the Sudan! I could believe the next Ice age was coming. We flew in back to New Jersey.

The unfortunate part I really regret was I didn't find any going home parties, or didn't met up with any group members before I left for home. Somehow, right away I took a bus to the Greyhound bus station in New York, and took a three day bus trip back home in California. I haven't talked to any of the members of that group, or done anything with the memories of that adventure. All I had of this trip was a few memories, these photos and some mementos. No I am not a member of Al-Qaeda.
