The Kids are alright?

Just a little note to myself, and others who maybe reading this. I think most of these adolescents around here are okay! I'm feeling sort of paranoid, after that assault at the park..Plus people are talking death threats around here. I not sure why, but there as been changes around this area..Mostly the introduction of a pre-school for tots, run by and for State employees across the path here. Bound to put a crimp in drug sales .

I've been paranoid enough to really , really worry about my well -being, and my future...enough to want to leave here. I probably should still worry. One of the kids restored my faith in them today ..

I was riding my bike to work .and I saw a black youth standing at the corner. He immediately put his hand in his pocket , as if to go for a gun after looking at me ( he recognized me), he withdrew it..looked pretty sheepish..then walked toward me across the street with his hands out of his pockets after a bit of decision by him. I never felt so gratified...this kid didn't want to kill me!. I've seen other kids act like this toward me. Enough to make me feel that all the adolescents in O-Town aren't out to get me . Maybe I wont need that gun after all.
Some of the kids here are intelligent and have a conscious....Its some of the older drug dealer types I might worry about.
